Find student forms using selection queries

Overview
You can use the advanced search form to find students based on specific PowerSchool criteria when searching for student forms to review.
This section covers how to create queries using the student selection feature within the advanced search form of the Review page.

Finding the Student Selection feature
In the main left-hand menu, click “Review”
Click “> Advanced Search”
Click the “Apply student selection” checkbox
Click the “Edit selection” button (right of the checkbox)
Creating an Edit Selection query
As directed in the above section, you must have the Edit Selection dialog open (see screenshot below):
PowerSchool query
The query gives you an example of finding all students with a grade of 5.
View the PowerSchool documentation to learn about the query options available.
Starting fresh
Click the “Red X” button to clear the default option.
Click on the field “Search for additional field..” to view PowerSchool available fields
Select a PowerSchool field from the list you want to use
Once you have selected a field, click the operator button (shown below) to define what you are looking for.
For example, a student's grade level is equal to 5.
You can add additional search criteria to make your search even more specific. However, keep in mind each additional field you add will be combined using AND.
For example, Grade = 5|
Click “Run Query” to generate the list of students matching your criteria
Click “Done” to view your final results
Searching via Courses and Sections
You can also search for students in PowerSchool by selecting course(s) and section(s) for a specific school.
To do this:
Select a School
Select course(s) available at the school
Select the section(s) available in the course
Click “Run Query” to generate the list of students matching your criteria
Click “Done” to view your final results
