Role Permissions
Overview
When editing a role you will see a list of Permissions. Listed below are the definitions of the checkboxes.
For faster access to the descriptions, simply hover over the name in the SchoolEngage application to see a detailed description of what each permission does.

Application.Settings
Allows a user to see the Settings Menu Option
Application.Writeback
Main
Allows a user to use the Writeback option while reviewing an application, to writeback data to PowerSchool
Reset
Allows a user to use the Reset Writeback option while reviewing an application, to revert writeback
Payment.Orders.Edit
Allows a user to mark a form as Paid, and process refunds.
Payment.Orders.Retry
Allows a user to try and re-process a failed payment
Payment.Orders.View
The main Payment Orders permission, grants access to the Payments --> Payments Orders option in the Settings menu. This allows a user to see any payments submitted
Payment.Settings
Grants access to the Payments --> Payments Items option in the Settings menu. This allows a user to add and edit the predefined payment items.
Settings.Actions.DataValidation
Grants Access to the Mass Actions --> Data Validation option in the Settings menu. Data Validation allows a user to generate validation forms for groups of students.
Settings.Actions.Export
Grants Access to the Mass Actions --> Export option in the Settings menu. This allows users to export the data from form submissions
Settings.Actions.FormsRestore
Grants Access to the Mass Actions --> Export option in the Settings menu. This allows a user to restore a deleted form.
Settings.AppointmentManagement
Main
Grants Access to the Event Manager --> My Schedule option in the menu. This allows a user to schedule appointments for themselves
Groups
Grants Access to the Event Manager --> Events option in the menu. This allows users to define predefined events (ones that will affect many students) for easy use when scheduling
Manage
Grants Access to the Event Manager --> Staff Schedule option in the menu. This allows a user to schedule events for other staff members
Settings.EmailManagement
Grants Access to the Settings --> Email --> Email Templates option in the menu. This allows a user to configure when emails are sent out
Settings.FormManagement
Main
Grants Access to the Settings --> Form Management and Settings --> Predef options in the menu. This provides the tools for a user to view forms
Edit
Allows a User to edit forms and related items like predefs.
FormScript
This will add a Script button into a form. Scripting allows advanced custom functionality, but requires coding knowledge
Settings.FormNotifications
Grants Access to Settings --> Form Notifications option in the menu. This allows Staff to be emailed when there is a specific change on a form.
Settings.Geo
Grants Access to the Settings --> Map Areas option in the menu. This allows a user to configure and define map areas to be used within a Map Form Element.
Settings.GreetingInfo
Grants Access to the Settings --> District option in the menu. This allows you to customize the main page and home page of SchoolEngage, to include a district wide logo and description
Settings.Invitations
Grants Access to the Settings --> Invitations option in the menu. This allows a user to create a customized invitation link, which can be used to track where registrations are coming from.
Settings.Schools
Grants Access to the Settings --> Schools option in the menu. This allows a user to view and edit information for the schools they have access to.
User Management
Main
Grants access to the Users option in the menu. This allows users to search and edit students, staff and parents.
LoginAs
Grants the User the ability to log into the account of a parent through their page
Roles
Grants access to the Users --> Manage Roles option in the menu. Allows the user to change these permissions for a staff member
SchoolRights
Allows the user to add or remove the schools a staff member has permission to through their page
Statistics
Grants access to the User --> Users Online option in the menu, as well as the “Login History” panel on Staff and Parent pages.
