Student account management

Overview

This section covers how to manage student accounts in the SchoolEnage platform.

Student management page

To access the list of student users/profiles follow the steps below:

  1. In the main left-hand menu click “Users”

  2. Click “Students”


Create a student account

Once you are on the student management page, you can follow the steps below to create a new student account.

  1. Click the “+ Create” button at the top of the table

  2. In the popup, enter the required fields

  3. Click “Save”


Viewing a student account

Once you are on the student management page, click the to navigate to their profile page.


Edit a student account

From the student management page, you can edit account information by clicking the Pencil icon.

  1. Click the Pencil icon on the row you wish to edit

  2. In the popup, update the details you wish to change

  3. Click “Save”

TIP: Try using the Keyword search text box at the top of the page to find a specific contact.

Students linked to PowerSchool cannot be edited here. Their data comes from the PowerSchool nightly sync and will need to be updated in PowerSchool for their data to update in SchoolEngage.


Delete a student account

From the student management page you have the ability to delete a student account.

  1. Click the Trash icon on the row you wish to delete

  2. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion of the account

  3. Click “Yes” if you wish to delete the account

WARNING: Once you delete the account, it cannot be recovered.


Setting student as a Tester

If you want to assign Test forms, make sure that the student’s account is a tester. To do this:

  1. Navigate to the student’s profile

  2. Click on the “Actions” button to bring up the options

  3. Under User Flags, click “Is Tester?” to enable the student account as a tester if it isn’t already.


Unlinking a student account from PowerSchool

To unlink a student account from their PowerSchool account, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the student’s profile.

  2. Click on the “Actions” button to bring up the options.

  3. Select “Unlink from PS”.

  4. Confirm the action by clicking “Yes”.
