New Features

New Form Types

Field Trip Form

• Teacher request form to plan field trips for your district

• Admin approvals and student selection to send out forms to parents

Field Trip Confirmation Form

• Parent/Student feedback form to collect parent consent for fieldtrips

Activities, Venues, and Risks

• Added the ability for school divisions to populate a list of approved activities for field trips with associated risks and possible venues for these activities.

• Once these list are populated the options here can be selected by teachers for a field trip within the new Activity and Venue fields used for field trips.

Teacher User Type

• Added Teachers as a separate user type.

• Teachers can be automatically sync from PowerSchool with the new staff sync if it is activated.

• A teachers permissions in SchoolEngage will be governed by adding a “Teacher” role in SchoolEngage.

Automatic Staff Sync Option

• Staff and teachers can now have their accounts automatically sync from PowerSchool.

• For Staff

  • SchoolEngage will sync the users role from PowerSchool, and those roles can be given a matching role in SchoolEngage

  • School Rights will automatically populate from the rights in PowerSchool

• For Teachers

  • Teachers will automatically be given the permissions of a ‘Teacher’ Role in SchoolEngage if one exists

Form Template Copy

• Form editors will be able to copy a template from a list of generic base forms that will begin being populated in the near future.

• This is also where form editors will likely copy their first Field Trip Forms once they are available.

System Tags

• Certain fields can now be tagged for recognition by the system to read for additional functionality.

• This is centered around Field trip forms for now, but may be expanded upon in the future.

Icon Update

Moved Logout button

• Move Logout button from the hover on the SchoolEngage logo into the main left hand menu.

• For those that utilized the Full Screen button, please use F11 going forward.

• Added ability to add release note information as part of the Service Announcements

• The Field Trip Review menu option is now hidden behind the Review Guardian Field Trip Responses permission

• The Student List page filtering is now working correctly again with PowerSchool selections and enrollments

• The Assign button will again only appear once within an application

• Resolved an issue where “Assign” and “Approve” would apply to more students than selected

• Resolved an issue with Mark as Written Back
