Button Field

We've introduced a new form field: the button field! This feature currently allows you to copy data from one field to another with a simple click. We may expand its functionality in the future. For more details, check out our article on Button Fields.

Fix Parent Portal Account creation during writeback for PowerSchools that use Google accounts with Multi-factor Authentication turned on.

If you are experiencing the lack of parent portal account creation during writeback and use Google accounts for PowerSchool staff accounts, please try the following on SchoolEngage’s PowerSchool account.

Please contact the SchoolEngage team if you don’t know which account SchoolEngage uses to access PowerSchool.

How to turn off CAPTCHA (additional) challenge in GAFE

  • Log into the Google admin console

  • Go to or search for Login Challenges (under security)

  • Select the Organizational Unit that the "School Engage" user lives in (recommend this is in its own or a limited OU)

  • Edit the "Post-SSO Verification" setting

  • Set the two settings to "Don't ask for additional verifications from Google"

  • Save

Fix Daily Summaries

Staff Daily summary sendouts should now send to staff and roles as expected.

Contact Writeback History

Writeback of Unlimited Contacts now has a history available within the Application History audit window.

This change will only impact new writebacks, but should allows users to see what the Admin selected during writeback to help diagnose issues with contacts not entering PowerSchool as expected.
