Overview

The Summary page presents comprehensive tables and charts summarizing the Provincial Achievement Test (PAT) results. These tables, which replicate data from the PAT report provided by Alberta Education, encompass both provincial outcomes and individual student results as calculated by Dossier.

Summary results

The “Participation Report” is a structured representation of student participation data in the Provincial Achievement Tests (PAT), as reported by Alberta Education. This table and chart are designed to facilitate the comparison of test participation across selected locations (schools or district) against provincial averages.

Achievement for All Students Enrolled

The “Achievement for All Students Enrolled” section displays Standards for all Students for Whom Test Results are Available and for Whom Test Results are Not Available(Students who were Absent, Excused, Students Who Wrote, Results Withheld, and Students Who Wrote Only One Part of the Test). Information is presented in the form of table and chart.

Achievement for Students Who Wrote Test

The “Achievement for Students Who Wrote Test” section details the standards achieved by students who participated in the test, organized by reporting category. Information is presented in the form of table and chart.

Distribution Chart

The “Distribution Chart” visualizes the Provincial Achievement Test (PAT) scores of students at a school, segmented into decile groups ranging from 0-10% to 91-100%. Each bar represents the percentage of students falling within each decile, providing a clear overview of the school's performance distribution across different scoring ranges.

Student Margins

The “Student Margins” provides a visual and numerical representation of student performance relative to set academic standards. It categorizes students into three groups: above the Acceptable standard, below the Acceptable standard, and below the Excellence standard.

  • Filters: slider is set up to adjust the margin percentage, ranging from 0 to the selected value.

  • From the drop-down list, select the desired file format. Available formats include PNG, JPEG, PDF, SVG, and Print.
