Table of Contents
Navigating a Form
Navigation Buttons
To navigate through the form, you can use the arrows at the top to go back and forth between pages, or you can jump to a specific page by clicking on its corresponding page number. This way, you have full control over which part of the form you're filling out at any time.
Note: You will be unable to proceed to a new page if any mandatory fields are left unfilled.
Tracking Your Progress
At the top of each page, you'll find a completion bar and page indicators, allowing you to easily monitor how far you've progressed through the form.
Saving Your Progress
Your progress is saved every time you move to a new page or when you click the "Save" button. This ensures that you can begin a form and finish it later without losing any information.
Completing a Form
Mandatory Fields
Fields outlined in red are mandatory and must be filled out before proceeding. If you attempt to save your progress or navigate to another page without completing these fields, you will be automatically redirected to the nearest unfilled mandatory field.
Formatting Your Entries Correctly
Some parts of the form need the information in a specific format. For example:
Dates should be written as DD/MM/YYYY (like 01/01/2023).
Phone numbers should follow the format displayed in the entry box.
Emails should look like someone@example.com.
Postal codes should match the Canadian format, such as A1A 1A1.
Following these guidelines ensures you can proceed without any issues.
Copying from Previous Forms
If you need to fill out the same form for more than one student, you might see a "Copy from Previous Applications" button. This depends on if your district has enabled this feature. Clicking this button allows you to copy information from forms you've filled out before into the new one you're working on. Look for this button next to the section titles if it's available.
File Uploads
Some forms may require file uploads, such as a child's birth certificate. To upload, select the document type and browse your computer files to attach the necessary documents. Files can also be added to the submitted form from the Student page if not included during initial submission. Districts may restrict what files are uploaded to certain types like pdfs or jpeg, so ensure your type is valid.
Completing Your Submission
When you reach the final page of the form and have filled in all required fields, you can click the "Submit" button to send your form for processing.
Important Note: Please double-check all your entries before submitting, as some districts may not allow edits after submission.
