Exporting release notes from Jira for customers who do not have access to your internal project tickets involves a few steps. Here’s a general guide on how you can do this effectively:
Step 1: Generate Release Notes in Jira
Go to your project: Open the project from which you want to export release notes.
Identify the version: Locate the "Releases" tab (usually found under the project's main menu). Click on the specific version for which you want to generate release notes.
View the release notes: There's often a button or link to view the release notes associated with that version. This will compile a list of all issues that have been resolved or closed in that release.

Formatting: Once you have the content, format it in a user-friendly way using a tool like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or any other document editor. Include your company’s branding, and make it presentable and professional.
Convert to PDF: To ensure compatibility and preserve the formatting, convert the document into a PDF.
Distribute: Share the PDF with your customers via email, your company’s website, or through a customer portal.

If you find the manual process too cumbersome or if you need more sophisticated options:
Explore Atlassian Marketplace: Look for apps like "PDF View Plugin for Jira" or "Xporter" which can automate the export of issues into well-formatted documents, including release notes.
By following these steps, you can effectively communicate the details of new releases to your customers in a clear and professional manner, even if they don’t have direct access to your Jira projects.
