To utilize custom PowerSchool fields within SchoolEngage, either for reading or writing data, it's essential to perform an export from PowerSchool first.
Access PowerSchool: Log in and switch to the District Office view.
Export Page: Go to YOUR_POWERSCHOOL_URL/admin/customization/CreatePackagePage.action
, substituting YOUR_POWERSCHOOL_URL
with your district's PowerSchool URL.
Note: It may take some time for this page to load. |
Plugin Description: Fill in the required description fields. These are mandatory for exporting but not used during import.
Select Files: In "Select Individual Files", expand the “user_schema_root” folder and choose all .xml
files relevant to your newly added custom fields.
Create and Upload: Generate the zip file and upload it on the District Settings page.
