Overview
This section provides guidance on how to set up and manage field mappings on a field-by-field basis.

Types of Field Mappings
Inputs
Inputs prepopulate a field with data from a specified source when the form is generated. This reduces the need for users to have to fill out the same information every time.
Outputs
Outputs send the submitted data from a form to a designated data source upon writeback.
Note: It is possible to have multiple outputs on a single form field.
Limitations
Inputs
Only one input mapping is allowed per field.
Fields are only pre-populated at the time of form creation.
The incoming data must conform to the format expected by the form field.
Example: Sending "True" to a dropdown list that does not recognize "True" as a valid option will result in the field displaying as blank.
Outputs
The outgoing data must match the format that the data source expects.
Example: Sending a letter where a number is expected will cause errors during the writeback process.
How to Use Mappings
Begin by editing a form field.
Scroll to the "Data Mapping" section within the field settings.
Click "Add Input" or "Add Output" to create a new mapping.
Choose your desired map source and the specific field to link.

Unlimited Contacts: Main map source for writing back contact information to PowerSchool.
SE - Parent: Connects to the user who created the form.
SE - Student: Connects to the user to whom the form is assigned.
