Overview

To utilize custom PowerSchool fields within SchoolEngage, either for reading or writing data, it's essential to perform an export from PowerSchool first.


Steps for Exporting Extensions from PowerSchool

  1. Access PowerSchool: Log in and switch to the District Office view.

  2. Export Page: Go to YOUR_POWERSCHOOL_URL/admin/customization/CreatePackagePage.action, substituting YOUR_POWERSCHOOL_URL with your district's PowerSchool URL.

Note: It may take some time for this page to load.

  1. Plugin Description: Fill in the required description fields. These are mandatory for exporting but not used during import.

  2. Select Files: In "Select Individual Files", expand the “user_schema_root” folder and choose all xml files relevant to your newly added custom fields.

  3. Create and Submit: Generate the zip file and submit it via our Help Desk.
